37-Year-Old Woman Dies in DUI Crash at FM 1960 and Highway 290 in Harris County

1 Killed and 3 Injured in Harris County Five-Vehicle Crash at FM 1960 and Highway 290
Harris County, Texas (March 4, 2019) – A 37-year-old woman died, and three others were injured in a suspected DUI crash Sunday morning at a Harris County intersection, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at about 11:00 a.m. March, at the intersection of FM 1960 and Highway 290.
Deputies said Jeramie Doucet, 32, was driving his late model Mercedes Benz sedan at a high rate of speed approaching the intersection when he rear-ended a Ford Expedition that had stopped for the heavy traffic at the intersection.
The impact started a chain reaction. A total of five vehicles were involved in the crash.
Two women were in the Ford at the time of the accident. They were taken to the hospital where one of them, later died.
Two other people were also taken to the hospital.
Doucet tried to flee the scene but was appended by the officers.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of intoxication assault. He now faces new charges of intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid. He is being held on $5,000 bond.
The crash remains under investigation.
