4 Hurt in Train Accident on Alameda Avenue in Clint

Four Injured in Clint Train Accident on Alameda Avenue

Clint, Texas (September 14, 2019) – Four people were injured in a train accident Friday afternoon at a Clint railroad crossing, according to the authorities.

The crash occurred at about 2:00 p.m. September 13, in the 12200 block of Alameda Avenue.

Witnesses said crossing signal lights were flashing when the car attempted to cross over a set of double tracks, became stuck and was hit by an oncoming train. The train pushed the car down the tracks until the train came to a stop.

The car driver, a 45-year-old woman, and her passengers, ages 79, 80 and 81, were taken to the hospital in unknown conditions. The 80-year-old passenger was ejected in the crash.

The crash closed FM 110 at Railroad and Celum at Railroad.

Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
