Four Injured in Quitman Car Crash on Highway 154 and County Road 3120

Quitman, Texas (July 19, 2019) – Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Thursday morning near Quitman, according to a police report.

The wreck took place at about 8:59 a.m. Thursday, July 18, on Highway 154 and County Road 3120.

DPS said a Dodge truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 154 when it tried to turn into a driveway and was rear-ended by an eastbound car.

The impact pushed the truck into the westbound lanes, where it was hit by a Ford pickup. The crash caused the truck to burst into flames.

Four people were hospitalized for treatment of unknown injuries. At least one of the patients was airlifted from the scene by careflight.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
