2 Adults and 2 Children Killed in Dallas Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-35 near Camp Wisdom Road

Dallas, Texas (January 10, 2021) – Two adults and two children were killed early Saturday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Dallas, according to police.

The fatal crash happened at about 5:40 a.m., January 9, on the southbound side of Interstate 35E near Camp Wisdom Road.

Police said two left lanes of the interstate were blocked due to a crash, and traffic was backed up in the right lane as vehicles merged.

A woman was driving a blue 2005 BMW when she rear-ended a white 2006 Pontiac Vibe at a high rate of speed. The force of the impact caused a chain reaction involving multiple other vehicles.

A boy was pronounced dead at the scene. Another boy was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Two adults were taken to a local hospital where they later died. All four victims were in the Pontiac. Their identities have not been released.

The BMW driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She is expected to be charged with four counts of criminally negligent homicide.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons for driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
