Five Injured in El Paso Three-Vehicle Crash at Lee Trevino and Edgemere

El Paso, Texas (April 10, 2022) – Five people were injured Saturday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in El Paso, according to the police.

The crash happened around 1:00 p.m., April 9, at the intersection of Edgemere and Lee Trevino.

Police said a Nissan Rogue, driven by 18-year-old Alondra Pacheco, was traveling on Lee Trevino when it failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and T-boned a Chevy Astro, which was traveling westbound on Edgemere.

Pacheco then went over the median and rear-ended a Hyundai Accent.

Two boys, ages 6 and 13, were ejected from the van’s back window. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Another 13-year-old and two adults in the van were also injured in the crash.

The van was being used to move furniture, and it had a driver’s seat and had no passenger seat or seats in the rear of the vehicle.

The Special Traffic Investigators are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
