5 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at US 84 and FM 1294 near Shallowater

Five Injured in Shallowater Two-Vehicle Crash at U.S. Highway 84 and FM 1294

Shallowater, Texas (September 7, 2021) – Five people were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash near Shallowater, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash was reported around 12:40 p.m., September 5, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and Farm-to-Market Road 1294.

DPS said a Ford passenger car was traveling on FM 1294 when it disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and crashed into a Chevrolet pickup truck that was traveling on U.S. Highway 84.

Four people in the pickup truck and one person in the car were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries were described as moderate to severe.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
