Girl Hospitalized after Houston Pedestrian Accident at Lipan Road and Armstrong Street
Houston, Texas (May 24, 2019) – A 5-year-old girl was hit by a van Thursday morning in southwest Houston, according to a local news source.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. May 23, in the 9000 block of Lipan Road and Armstrong Street.
Police said a school bus was loading kids and had its stop sign arm deployed when a woman in a silver van approached the bus. At the same time, the girl had just been dropped off by her parents and was crossing the street when the van hit her.
The child was rushed to the hospital to be checked out. She is expected to be okay.
The woman was cited for failing to stop for a school bus.
The police are investigating the accident.
