53-Year-Old Man Critically Injured in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Midway Road at President George Bush Turnpike

Dallas, Texas (February 13, 2020) – A 53-year-old man was critically injured early Thursday morning in a crash with a suspected drunk driver in Dallas, according to the police.

The crash occurred around 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Midway Road and President George Bush Turnpike.

Police said the man was driving southbound on Midway Road through the intersection and had a flashing yellow light. Joel George, 53, failed to yield the right of way and T-boned the man’s car, spinning its right side into a traffic signal pole.

George allegedly had a flashing red light at the time of the crash.

The man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

George was arrested and charged with intoxication assault.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
