55-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured in Dallas Pedestrian Accident at Chestnut Street and Dawson Street

Dallas, Texas (September 21, 2022) – A 55-year-old woman was seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a hit-and-run accident in Dallas, according to the police.

The accident happened around 12:45 p.m., September 17, at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Dawson Street, just south of the Deep Ellum area.

Police said a driver hit the woman, stopped, backed over her, and then fled the scene.

The woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the involved vehicle was a white GMC SUV with an Idaho registration that doesn’t match the vehicle. Officers believe the license plate would be stolen or fake.
