61-Year-Old Man Dies in October Pedestrian Crash on East Freeway in Houston

61-Year-Old Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on East Freeway (I-10)

Houston, Texas (November 19, 2022) – The 61-year-old man who was critically injured on October 16 in a pedestrian accident in Houston has died, according to the police.

The man was pronounced dead on November 10.

The accident happened in the 5200 block of East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) service road.

Police said a gray Jeep Compass was traveling westbound when it struck the man who was crossing the service road.

The Jeep driver remained at the scene and called 911.

The man was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead on November 10. His name has not been released.

The Jeep driver was not impaired at the time of the accident and was questioned and released.

The police are investigating the crash.
