Beaumont Man Killed in China Pedestrian Accident on South Broadway near U.S. 90
China, Texas (February 7, 2019) – A 66-year-old Beaumont man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident Wednesday night in China, according to the DPS.
The deadly accident was reported at about 7:30 p.m. February 6, on South Broadway near U.S. 90.
DPS said a 39-year-old man was driving a 2004 Hyundai when he slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting an object in the roadway, which turned out to be the 66-year-old man.
The man was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed.
The Hyundai driver and his passenger were uninjured in the crash.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
