76-Year-Old Man Killed in El Paso Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

El Paso, Texas (August 17, 2021) – A 76-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in West El Paso, according to officials.

The deadly accident happened around 12:30 p.m., August 13, on Interstate 10 East near Sunland Park Drive.

Officials said the man was driving a 2009 Infiniti eastbound while a 2015 GMC Yukon was traveling two lanes over.

Both drivers attempted to change into a lane between them, and they collided.

The force of the impact caused the Infiniti to veer into the center concrete barriers, while the Yukon crashed into a guardrail.

The Infiniti driver was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The Yukon driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
