Child Hospitalized after Texas City Pedestrian Accident on Bay Street

Texas City, Texas (July 20, 2019) – An 8-year-old boy was injured in a pedestrian accident Thursday evening in Texas City, according to a local news source.

The accident took place just before 7:00 p.m. July 18, in the 1600 block of Bay Street.

As per the report, the boy was crossing the street when he was struck by a 1998 Ford F-150 truck.

The victim was airlifted to the University of Texas Medical Branch hospital with critical injuries.

An investigation is underway.
