8-Year-Old Girl Killed in Arlington Pedestrian Accident on Blue Sky Drive

Arlington, Texas (May 20, 2020) – An 8-year-old girl was fatally hit by a vehicle Tuesday night in Arlington, according to police.

The accident was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m. May 19, in the 800 block of Blue Sky Drive.

Police said the girl was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a southbound SUV driven by a 60-year-old man.

The girl was taken to a local hospital where she later died. Her name has not been released.

The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Impairment and speeding were unlikely factors in the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
