Elderly Man Injured in Mission Auto-Pedestrian Accident on Fifth and Conway

Mission, Texas (January 3, 2020) – An 85-year-old man was injured in a pedestrian accident Thursday night in Mission, according to the police.

The accident took place around 8:17 p.m. on January 2, in the area of Fifth and Conway.

Police said the man was crossing Conway, outside of a crosswalk, when he was hit by a northbound vehicle.

The female driver immediately called 911 and rendered aid to the victim, who was still breathing but unresponsive.

The man was taken to McAllen Medical with head trauma.

An investigation is ongoing.
