92-Year-Old Woman Injured in Hit-and-Run on I-40 in Amarillo

92-Year-Old Woman Injured in Amarillo Hit-and-Run on Intestate 40

Amarillo, Texas (April 6, 2022) – A 92-year-old woman was injured last week Tuesday in a hit-and-run accident in Amarillo, according to the police.

The accident happened around 2:20 a.m., March 29, at a parking lot in the 3700 block of Interstate 40 East.

Police said a grey/silver Ford Taurus with a paper license plate hit a 92-year-old woman and then left the scene.

The woman was treated for her injuries.

The authorities are looking for the two occupants of the Ford. The suspects have been identified, but their names have not been released. Anyone with any information about the suspects is asked to call the Amarillo Police Department’s Traffic Unit at (806) 378-4250, or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at (806) 374-4400, submit a tip online at amapolice.org or through the P3 Tips app.

The police are investigating the crash.
