Casandra Perez Dies in Edinburg Pedestrian Accident on North 24th Street

Edinburg, Texas (February 18, 2019) – A woman died when a vehicle struck her and her stalled vehicle in Edinburg early Friday morning, according to the authorities.
The accident occurred just before 1 a.m. February 15 in the 3400 block of North 24th Street, at the Southbound Frontage Road.
Police said Cassandra Julianne Perez, 19, was standing outside her stalled vehicle when a brown Mustang slammed into her and her vehicle.
Perez died as a result of the collision.
The driver of the Mustang, Edward Leo Magallan, 25, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The accident is under investigation.
