Richard Rivas ID’d as Man Killed in Westlake Car Crash on U.S. 377 and Texas 170
Westlake, Texas (May 4, 2019) – Authorities have identified the man who was killed late Thursday night in a traffic accident in Westlake as Richard Rivas, 29, of Grapevine.
The tragic crash happened at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2 on U.S. 377 and Texas 170.
Police said Rivas was heading southbound on U.S. 377 and Texas 170 when he failed to stop at a red light and crashed into an 18-wheeler. A commercial vehicle and three other passenger vehicles were also involved in the crash.
Rivas died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
