Off-Duty Motorcycle Officer Injured in El Paso Crash on Loop 375 near Edgemere Boulevard
El Paso, Texas (May 18, 2019) – An off-duty motorcycle officer was hospitalized Friday morning after a being hit by a vehicle while escorting a funeral procession in  El Paso, according to a local news report.
The accident happened on Loop 375 south near Edgemere Boulevard Friday, May 17.
As per the report, the off-duty officer was riding a 2018 Honda Shadow motorcycle and escorting a funeral procession when the driver of a 2003 Lexus was unable to stop in time and hit the officer.
The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. The name and current condition of the patient were not disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation.
