Man Killed in South Austin Bicycle Accident on I-35 Service Road at Ben White Boulevard

Austin, Texas (August 24, 2019) – A man was killed Friday afternoon in a bicycle accident in South Austin, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 1:15 p.m. August 23, on the I-35 service road at Ben White Boulevard.

Authorities said the collision involved a bicycle and a vehicle.

Responding paramedics performed CPR on the bicyclist. He was then taken South Austin Medical Center with critical life-threatening injuries where he later died.

The Austin Police Department is investigating the crash.
