David Hall Killed in 3-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 287 near Stratford

68-Year-Old David Hall Killed in Sherman County Three-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 287

Sherman County, Texas (December 30, 2019) – A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash Friday evening north of Stratford, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened around 6:15 p.m., December 27, on U.S. 287.

DPS said David Hall, 68, of Fritch, was driving a 2001 Dodge Stratus southeast when he attempted to pass a pickup that was towing a travel trailer and crossed a patch of water, causing it to hydroplane.

Hall then struck the pickup and continued to slide on the wet surface where it hit a 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup.

Hall was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the Ram was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
