8-Year-Old and 17-Year-Old Girls Injured in Harlingen Car Crash Into Beauty Store on Commerce Avenue

Harlingen, Texas (August 8, 2018) – An 8-year-old and 17-year-old girls were injured Tuesday evening after a car crashed into a beauty store and struck them, police said.
The crash was reported t about 4:00 p.m. August 7, at the Texas Beauty Supplies store on Commerce Avenue.
Harlingen police said an SUV crashed into the storefront window and struck the two girls who were inside the store.
Witnesses came and rescued the girls by jacking up the SUV and pulling them from under the car, police said.
Both girls were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Three employees were also taken to the hospital for observation.
The crash backed up the eastbound traffic.
No further details were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
