Anita Goodrich Among Two Killed in Washington County Two-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 290
Washington County, Texas – Two people were killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Washington County, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal crash happened just before 2:00 p.m., January 22, on U.S. Highway 290.
DPS said a 2004 Ford Expedition was traveling eastbound on the highway when it hydroplaned, crossed into the eastbound lanes, and was struck by a 2013 Peterbilt 18-wheeler.
The Ford driver, Anita Goodrich, 59, from Brenham, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the Ford was also pronounced dead but has not been identified.
The 18-wheeler driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
