59-Year-Old Woman Injured in NE Austin Bicycle Accident on Dessau Road near E. Applegate Drive
Austin, Texas – According to the police, a 59-year-old woman was critically injured earlier this month in a hit-and-run accident in Northeast Austin.
The crash happened just before 7:00 p.m., February 5, in the 10500 block of Dessau Road near E. Applegate Drive.
Police said an unknown vehicle hit the 59-year-old Hispanic female bicyclist.
The driver immediately left the scene without attempting to render aid or call 911.
The woman was taken to the hospital with multiple life-threatening injuries where she remains in critical condition.
The authorities are looking for the hit-and-run driver.
The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information may submit their tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
