Girl Killed in NW Harris County Pedestrian Accident on Greenhouse Road near Cardinal Lake
Harris County, Texas – A teenage girl, between 15 and 18 years old, was fatally hit by two cars Thursday night in northwest Harris County, according to the deputies.
The deadly accident happened on February 15, on Greenhouse Road near Cardinal Lake.
Deputies said a GMC pickup truck was traveling southbound in the left lane when it struck the girl who walked into the roadway from the median. The impact projected her forward and she was struck by a southbound Nissan Sentra as she was lying in the roadway.
The girl was not in a crosswalk and the area was also poorly-lit. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.
Both drivers remained at the scene and neither showed signs of intoxication.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the crash.
