Austin, Texas – The Austin Police Department has identified one of the drivers who died in a two-vehicle traffic collision on North MoPac Expressway early Sunday as 43-year-old Nickolaus Lauderdale.

Lauderdale and the second driver were killed in the 5:38 a.m. crash in the 12000 block of North MoPac Expressway. The name of the second victim has not been released.

Austin, Texas — The authorities are investigating a deadly traffic collision involving two vehicles on North MoPac Expressway in Austin, according to the Austin Police Department.

The accident happened at t about 5:38 a.m. Sunday, July 14 in the 12000 block of North MoPac Expressway.

According to APD, officers responded to the scene and found two vehicles involved in the crash. At least one person was pinned inside the wreckage.

As per the APD, two people died in the crash. The identities of the victims were not immediately released

APD said that South MoPac at Parmer Lane FM 734 was shut down as authorities investigated the incident.

The crash remains under investigation.
