Marikate Maggio ID’d as Texas A&M-SA Student Killed in Wilson County Two-Vehicle Crash at U.S. 181 and FM 775

Wilson County, Texas (September 28, 2018) – The Texas A&M University-San Antonio student who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Wilson County, has been identified as Marikate Georgann Maggio, 18, of Floresville, according to the authorities.
The deadly accident happened at around 1:00 p.m. September 26, at the intersection of U.S. 181 and FM 775.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said Maggio was driving southbound on U.S. 181 when she attempted to turn left at FM 775. An 18-wheeler then hit her car as it drove through the intersection.
Maggio was transported to Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Troopers are conducting the investigation.
