The accident happened at about 6:51 a.m. in the area of 12400-13100 FM 969, near State Highway 130, and involved four vehicles.
Austin, TX – One person was killed and four others were injured following a traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on FM 969 in Austine on Wednesday morning, according ng to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Austin-Travis County EMS said in a social media post that the accident happened at about 6:51 a.m. on August 7 in the area of 12400-13100 FM 969, near State Highway 130, and involved four vehicles.
ATCEMS crews responded to the scene and located five patients, including one who was unconscious and pinned inside one of the vehicles.

The patient was extricated and Austin-Travis Medics administered resuscitation efforts.

Unfortunately, the resuscitation efforts failed and the person was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other adult patients were taken to Dell Seton for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The name of the deceased was not immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation.
