Fort Worth, TX – A 19-year-old driver, identified as Eduardo Gonzalez has been arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a rear-end traffic collision that left five people dead on I-35 in Fort Worth, according to a police report.
According to Fort Worth police, Gonzalez was driving a black Camaro northbound on Interstate 35W at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a sedan near the Seminary Drive exit.
Three adults and two children in the sedan were killed in the crash.
Gonzalez was transported to a hospital with serious injuries before being arrested.
Police said Gonzalez was charged with driving while intoxicated and five counts of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle.

The fatal incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 35W near Seminary Drive exit.
According to Fort Worth police, the driver of a black Camaro was traveling northbound on Interstate 35W at a high rate of speed when they rear-ended a sedan near the Seminary Drive exit.

The impact caused the sedan to burst into flames and five people inside the vehicle – three adults and two children – were killed.
The names of the victims have been withheld pending notification to the family.
The driver of the Camaro sustained serious injuries in the incident and was hospitalized. The driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
