Levi Lott was thrown over the bridge and his body was recovered the next day morning while John Berkely was pronounced dead at the scene

Henderson County, TX – Two motorcyclists who died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle on SH-198 in Henderson County have been identified as John Berkley, 52, of Athens, and Levi Lott, 32, of Tyler.
According to DPS, William Coker, 45, of Eustace, was driving a pickup truck northbound on SH 198, while three motorcycles were traveling south on TX-198. For some reason, Coker drove his truck onto the wrong side of the roadway and hit the motorcycle that John Berkley was driving.
Debris from the collision struck another motorcyclist identified as Cody Jordan, 25, of Chandler.
The truck then struck a third motorcycle operated by Lott. The impact caused Lott to be thrown from the motorcycle and over the bridge into the water, DPS said in a statement.
Lott was later found deceased.
Berkely was pronounced dead at the scene. Jordan was not injured in the accident, according to the DPS.
Coker and a 34-year-old passenger were hospitalized.

Henderson County, TX – Two people were killed and two others were injured following a traffic collision involving three motorcycles and a vehicle on State Highway 198 in Henderson County Sunday night, according to Texas DPS.
According to the DPS, the deadly accident occurred around 9 p.m. Sunday, August 19 on State Highway 198 near Payne Springs, on a bridge over Cedar Creek Lake.
According to the DPS, a GMC pickup was traveling northbound on State Highway 198 and crossed onto oncoming traffic lanes, and struck the first motorcycle.

A second motorcycle was hit by debris from the collision, and then the third was struck by the pickup. The impact pushed the third rider over the bridge into the water where he died. The rider’s body was recovered by a game warden at around 11 a.m. Monday on Cedar Creek Reservoir.
The driver of the pickup truck and his passenger were both taken to a hospital in Athens.
The first rider to be struck was also killed in the incident. The motorcyclist who was struck by debris was not injured.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
