Odessa, TX – One person was killed and another was injured following a traffic accident involving three vehicles on Highway 80 in Odessa Wednesday night according to a local news report.

According to the Odessa Police Department, a silver Dodge Ram was traveling eastbound on Highway 80 and attempted to turn northbound onto Faudree Road. Authorities say the driver of the Dodge failed to yield the right of way and struck a black Kia Sportage that was traveling westbound on Highway 80.

The impact caused the Kia to overturn, hitting a gray GMC Yukon that was stopped at a red light at the intersection facing southbound on Faudree Road.
Police said the driver of the Kia died at the scene. The driver of the Dodge was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
