Denton County, TX – Three people are dead and three more are injured after a major pileup involving six vehicles in Argyle Friday evening, according to Argyle police.

The deadly multi-vehicle accident happened just before 7 p.m. on Interstate 35W at Crawford Road in Argyle

Argyle and Northlane police officers together with Denton County ESD No. 1 paramedics responded to the scene and located six vehicles and six patients.

All six people were transported by five ambulances to Denton County hospitals.

Argyle police said three people were pronounced dead at the hospitals. The other three remained hospitalized.

No additional details about the victims have been released at this time.

The northbound lanes of I-35W were shut down for several hours on Friday night.

An investigation to determine the cause of the deadly accident is underway.
