Arlington, TX – A female motorcyclist who was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver at an intersection in Arlington has been identified as 43-year-old Julie Maldanado.
Maldanado, who leaves behind three children, was struck by a Dodge Charger that ran a red light at the intersection of South Watson and Webb Lynn roads at about 11 p.m., Friday, August 23.
Maldanado was transported to hospital where she later died.
The driver, identified as 22-year-old Kenneth Polk, drove away from the scene but didn’t go far before being arrested. Polk is charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The tragic incident happened at about 11 p.m. Friday, August 23 near the intersection of South Watson and Webb Lynn roads.
According to Arlington police, the driver of a Dodge Charger ran a red light and struck a motorcycle near the intersection.
