Odessa, TX – A 17-year-old passenger, identified as Fabian Navarro, was killed in a three-car collision at an intersection in Odessa Wednesday evening, according to an Odessa Police Department press release.
The incident happened around 5:28 p.m. on September 11 at the intersection of Andrews Highway and Yukon Road.
Reportedly, OPD officers and Odessa Fire Rescue responded to the major incident.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a juvenile driver was operating a gray Pontiac westbound on Yukon when they failed to yield the right of way and turned south, colliding with a White Ford F-350 going eastbound on Yukon.

Authorities said a Gray Honda that was merging onto Yukon and Andrews Highway at the time of the incident, was involved in the collision.
Fabian Navarro, who was a passenger in the Pontiac, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The juvenile driver and the driver of the Ford F-350 sustained minor injuries in the incident and were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The Honda driver was not hurt.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
