Man, 30, Dies in State Highway 225 Accident in Houston

Houston, TX –  A 30-year-old man was killed and another 25-year-old man was injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision on SH 225 in Houston late Thursday night.

The deadly accident happened at about 11 p.m. on October 17 at 10000 La Porte Freeway (State Highway 225)

According to HPD, the 30-year-old man was driving a white Pontiac G6 the wrong way eastbound in the westbound lanes on SH-225 and collided head-on with a Ford Mustang traveling westbound on the freeway.

The driver of the Pontiac was declared dead at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The driver of the Mustang, a 25-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

The name of the deceased driver was not immediately released pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The accident remains under investigation.
