Azle, Texas – The Azle Police Department has identified an elderly woman who died after her car collided head-on with a suspected drunk driver on FM 730 on October 18 as Ann Browning Henley.

According to Azle PD, a Toyota Tundra, operated by 64-year-old William Charles Salathe of Fort Worth, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Honda CR-V operated by Ann Henley.

Henley was transported to a local hospital where she died.

Salathe was arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter with Vehicle.

The incident remains under investigation.

Azle, Texas – One person was killed after two vehicles collided head-on on Farm-to-Market Road 730 s in Azle last week, according to the Azle Police Department.

The deadly accident happened on Thursday, October 18 in the 3500 block of Farm-to-Market Road 730 S.

Authorities said an initial investigation revealed that a Toyota Tundra crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Honda CR-V.

The driver of the Honda – an elderly woman – was rushed to a local hospital where she died.

Police said the driver of the Tundra was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Azle PD is investigating the incident.
