The deadly accident happened near Marine Creek Lake early Sunday morning, according to Fort Worth Police.
Fort Worth, TX – The authorities have identified two people from a family of four people – a father, mother, and two children – who were killed in a wrong-way collision on Loop 820 at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, October 27.
The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the couple as Johanna Yoleth Newsome, 29, and Daniel Newsome, 28. Two children who were in one vehicle with the couple were also killed in the accident. The identities of the children have not been released.
A fifth person, identified as Chelsea Cook, 33, was also killed in the accident. Cook’s fiance Evan Ranallo was seriously injured in the head-on collision.
Authorities say the family was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Northwest Loop 820 when their Ford Focus collided head-on with a pickup truck occupied by Ranallo and Cook. Cook and Ranallo were recently engaged to be married.

Fort Worth, TX – Five people are deadly following an early morning wrong-way collision on Northwest Loop 820 in Fort Worth.
The deadly accident happened at about 3:30 a.m. near Marine Creek Lake, according to Fort Worth Police.
Police said a vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction on Northwest Loop 820 and struck another car.
Police said the wreckage caught fire after the incident. At least one person was trapped following the collision.
According to the police, five people died in the collision. The names of the victims were not immediately released. One other person was transported to an area hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
