The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on southbound Highway 287 near Loop 820.

Fort Worth, TX – Three people were, two seriously, following a multi-vehicle traffic collision on Highway 287 in Fort Worth early Monday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (DPS).

The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on southbound Highway 287 near Loop 820.

DPS officials said a dark SUV struck a temporary construction barrier on the southbound ramp of Highway 287. The driver of a Dodge stopped to help the SUV driver and were then hit by an Infiniti.

According to Fort Worth PD, two occupants of the Infiniti became trapped and had to be extricated, The two patients sustained serious injuries. One person who was standing outside one of the cars when it was hit sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

No additional information was provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
