Midland, TX – The authorities have identified the driver who died after colliding with a Freightliner in Midland County on Sunday night as 45-year-old Manuel VelascoManuel De Jesus Sanchez Velasco of Fort Bend.
Reportedly, 40-year-old Jorge Marquez was driving a 2015 Freightliner with trailer northbound on TX-349 approaching the intersection of FM 1213.

Midland, TX — One person was killed and another was injured following a traffic collision involving two vehicles at an intersection in Midland Sunday night, according to Midland Fire Department (MFD).
Authorities said the accident happened at about 8:16 p.m. on December 1 at State Highway 349 and East County Road 160.
Thh Midland Fire Department (MFD) responded to the scene and located a semi and another vehicle.
According to MFD, the driver of the undescribed vehicle died at the scene. The driver of the semi was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The name of the victim was not immediately released.
The accident is under investigation.
