The deadly accident happened at about 11:01 on Highway 60 at County Road 17 about 1.2 miles west of Friona, authorities said.

Parmer, Texas – A driver from Hereford, identified as 57-year-old Donald Warren, was killed after his vehicle was struck by a semi-trailer on U.S. 60 Friday morning near Friona, accordiong to The Texas Department of Public Safety .
The deadly accident happened at about 11:01 on Highway 60 at County Road 17 about 1.2 miles west of Friona, authorities said.
According to DPS, Warren was driving a 2012 Kia Sorento northbound on County Road 17 when he failed to yield at a stop sign at U.S. 60 and entered into the path of traffic.
DPS said a 2000 Peterbilt truck tractor towing a semi-trailer and traveling eastbound on U.S. 60. struck the driver’s side of the Kia.
Warren sustaiene life-threatening injuries and was taken to Parmer County Medical Center where he later died.
The driver of the semi was not injured in the accident.
No addintional information was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
