Pharr, TX – The authorities have identified the driver who was killed in wrong-way traffic collision on Highway 2 in Pharr early Sunday as Yeime Guzman, 24, of Edinburg.

The accident happened at about 5:45 a.m. Sunday, December 8 in the 1900 block of West Interstate Highway 2 eastbound lanes, City of Pharr officails

The driver of the other vehicle remains hospitalized.

Pharr, TX – One person is dead and another is injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision on West Interstate Highway 2 in Pharr early sunday, according to a police report.

City of Pharr officails said the accident happened at about 5:45 a.m. Sunday, in the 1900 block of West Interstate Highway 2 eastbound lanes.

Yeime Guzman Dies in Highway 2 Collision

Authorities said two vehicles collided and one driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased man was not immediately released. Another male driver was injured and hospitalized in unknown condition.

The drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles.

No additional information was provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
