Houston, Texas – One person is dead and another was seriously injured following a rollover traffic collision at an intersection in Houston shutting down multiple lanes in the area Tuesday morning, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
The deadly accident happened at about 8:40 a.m. at the north Beltway 8 and Bammel N. Houston Road and involved a cement truck and a work vehicle.
The Constable’s Office confirmed that one person died in the collision and another person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
The name of the deceased party was not immediately released.
According to Contable Mark Herman of Harris County Constable Precinct 4 the cement truck went over the side of the beltway onto the feeder road. Images share by Mark Herman shows the cement truck overturned.

Two main lanes on the North Sam Houston Tollway westbound at Bammel N. Houston, and the westbound frontage road have been closed
Drivers using the road have been advised to seek alternate routes.
The incident remains under investigation.
