Lubbock, TX.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a Citibus in Lubbock on Tuesday evening, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
The accident took place in the 200 block of North Avenue U near Clovis Road at about 7:09 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10.
The police said Vernon Heil, 69, was driving the bus southbound on North Avenue U when he struck Beatriz De Los Santos, 75, as the bus crossed the railroad trucks.
De Los Santos was taken to University Medical Center, where she was later pronounced deceased. An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
