1 Dies in Two-Vehicle Accident on State Highway 115 near Mile Marker 338 in Ward County

Ward County, TX – One person was killed and another hospitalized after a Saturday evening traffic collision in Ward County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident happened at around 6:52 p.m. December 21, on State Highway 115 near mile marker 338.
A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Chevrolet was traveling at an unsafe speed and failed to navigate the curve safely, causing the vehicle to enter the wrong side of the road, and collide with the semi.
The Chevy driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the truck driver was transported to Ward Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.
