Hugh Hall was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 79 when he collided head-on with a 2010 Freightliner

Robertson, County – An 82-year-old man driving in the wrong lane of Highway 79 in Robertson County was killed in a head-on collision Thursday morning, according to DPS.
The deadly wrong-way accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Highway 79 between Franklin and Marquez, troopers said.

The man, identified as Hugh Hall was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 79 when he collided head-on with a 2010 Freightliner, as per the DPS.
Troopers said the driver of the semi-truck tried to swerve to avoid colliding with the Ford but was unsuccessful.
Hugh Hall was killed in the collision
The driver of the 18-wheeler sustained was transported to a hospital in Bryan with minor injuries.
No additional information is available at this time.
The accident remains under investigation.
