Dominic Gonzalez was transported to a local hospital and remained hospitalized until January 6, 2025, when he was pronounced dead

Austin, TX – A 56-year-old man who was injured in a two-vehicle traffic collision on I-35 late December last year is dead, according to Austin Police Department (APD).
APD identified the deceased as Dominic Rene Gonzalez.
The accident happened on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 1:09 p.m. in the 10500 block of N IH 35 SB.
APD officers responded to the scene and located two vehicles involved in the collision.
The driver of one of the vehicles, later identified as Dominic Gonzalez, was transported to a local hospital, where remained hospitalized until he was pronounced deceased on January 6, 2025.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
No additional information has been provided
According to APD, 95 fatal traffic collisions occurred in Austin in 2024, resulting in 102 deaths.
