San Antonio, TX – A female passenger was killed in a four-vehicle collision on Loop 410 in San Antonio Friday afternoon.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. January 10 in the westbound lanes of Northeast Loop 410 near Austin Highway.
Reportedly, the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee did not see the traffic stop ahead of him and did not slow down in time before rear-ending a Dodge pickup truck.
After the first crash, the Jeep then spun out sideways before colliding with two other vehicles, an SAPD officer at the scene said.
The police said a woman in the Jeep’s passenger seat was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
Two other people were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The police said a 20-year-old male driver of the Jeep could face possible charges.
No additional details regarding the mishap were provided.
