
McLennan County, TX – A woman was killed and several other parties were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in McLennan County early Wednesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The accident happened on Interstate 5 at Mile Marker 328.
According to the DPS, three truck tractor semi-trailers and six cars were involved in the collision on the northbound lanes of I-35.
Traffic was reportedly slowing down for road crew when one of the big rigs failed to slow down and slammed into the other vehicles.
One of the parties involved in the accident died at the scene.
The victim was identified as Jennifer James, 39, of Lorena.
Six other parties were taken to Baylor Scott & White in Waco with varying injuries.
The authorities are working to determine what caused the accident.
