Galveston, TX – A woman was killed in a head-on collision that also injured her husband and their three children in Galveston on Monday evening, according to the Galveston Police Department.
The incident occurred on 29th Street and Harborside Drive at about 6 p.m.January 20.
Police reported that Alexis Cisneros, 34, was driving a black BMW when she drifted into the path of oncoming vehicles and collided head-on with a white Toyota Tacoma carrying five family members.
One of the occupants of the Toyota, identified as Maria Martinez, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Maria’s husband and three children were rushed to UTMB Galveston with major injuries.
Cisneros was also treated at UTMB Galveston and later booked into Galveston County Jail on charges of manslaughter, DUI, and intoxication assault.
The accident is under investigation.
