DPS said the accident happened around 8:49 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5 at the intersection of US 385 and County Road 124 after a semi-truck reportedly failed to yield at an intersection.

Gaines County, TX – A woman, identified as 35-year-old Mindy Sue Moreno of Seminole, is dead following a fatal two-vehicle collision in Gaines County Wednesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS said the accident happened around 8:49 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5 at the intersection of US 385 and County Road 124 after a semi-truck reportedly failed to yield at an intersection.
According to DPS, Jesus Hernandez, 47, of El Paso, was driving a 2000 Kenworth semi-truck westbound on County Road 124.
Reportedly, Hernandez stopped when he stopped at the intersection but failed to yield the right of way, and as he entered the highway, the semi-truck collided with a northbound 2024 Ford Bronco operated by Mindy Moreno.
DPS said Moreno was pronounced dead at the scene. Hernandez was not injured in the collision.
No additional information was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
